Whenever we invite our friends or even our family over for dinner or lunch, we prefer to purchase desserts from outside. Things go crazy when we try to prepare it at home on our won.
Here is a simple but tasty recipe that you can try the next time you invite somebody over for dinner or lunch.
Ingredients:
- Rava /Semolina- 1 cup
- Maida /flour- ½ cup
- Oil- 3-4 tbsp
- Milk- ¼ cup
- Cardamom- 2-3
- Edible camphor
- Wheat flour- ¾ cup
Direction:
- Take a medium sized bowl & add the water along with the milk.
- Now pour the semolina seeds & allow them to soak for almost 30 minutes.
- Now mix the wheat flour, maida / flour along with the rava /semolina & allow it to soak together.
- Now take a saucepan & boil water in it.
- When water begins to boil add the jaggery / gur & let it liquefy completely.
- Now pour it into the flour mixture.
- Crush the cardamom & scatter them on this mixture.
- Lastly add the camphor (edible).
- Mix all the ingredients well & make small dumplings out of the mixture.
- Heat oil in a kadai/Chinese wok & deep fry those dumplings.
