Usually we prepare phirni with the help of khoya, but changes are always acceptable. So this time try phirni with some crushed almonds & get some refreshing taste.
Ingredients:
- Milk- 2cup
- Rice- 2 tbsp
- Almond (sliced)-1/4 cup
- Sugar- 3 tbsp
- Golden or silver foil/varak
- Kewra essence- ½ tsp
- Green cardamom (crushed)- 1 tsp
Direction:
- Clean the rice well & then soak it for almost an hour.
- Remove the water & blend the rice till you get the smooth-soft paste.
- Now take a non-stick saucepan & pour the milk.
- Boil it on medium temperature.
- Add the sugar along with the rice paste & cardamom.
- Stir continuously to make sure that the bottom is not burning.
- When you get the desired thickness take it off from the heat & sprinkle the crushed almonds.
- Transfer in the serving bowl & allow it to cool down.
- Now decorate the top with the varak.
- You can serve it immediately or place it in the refrigerator to get the chilled taste.
