Usually we prepare the cabbage with several spices, but this time it is little different, add coconut with cabbage & taste the difference.
Ingredients:
- Cabbage (shredded)- 3 cup
- 1/4cup- mustard seed
- 1 cup- Coconut (freshly grated)
- Salt- As per taste
- 1 tsp- Sugar
- 4 tbsp- Oil
- 2-3 (medium size)- Green chilli
- 1-2 tsp- Coriander leaves
Direction:
- Take medium sized saucepan & pour the shredded cabbage along with the sugar, salt & a cup of water.
- Cover the top & allow it to boil till the cabbage turns tender.
- Drain the excess water & keep them aside.
- Take a kadai or Chinese wok & heat oil on medium temperature.
- Now add the mustard seeds.
- When they begin to splutter add the green chillies along with the coriander leaves.
- Allow it to cook for 2-3 minutes & then add the grated coconut.
- Fry it for almost 2-3 minutes & then add the cabbage.
- Stir well to mix all the ingredients properly.
- Allow it to cook for almost 10minutes (you can add water if required).
- Remove from the heat & serve with plain rice.
