Ingredients:
- Chicken pieces- 1 ½ kg
- Onion- 2 (large size)
- Garlic cloves- 5-6
- Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
- Ground mustard- 1 tsp
- Cinnamon stick- 1
- Ground cumin- 2 tsp
- Chilli powder- As much heat you can enjoy
- Salt- As per taste
- Ground ginger- 1 tbsp
- Cloves- 5-6
- Ghee- 90 gm
- Brown sugar- 1 tbsp
- White vinegar- 2 tbsp
Direction:
- Wash the chicken pieces properly & keep them aside.
- Chop the onions finely & place them in the blender or food processer along with the turmeric, mustard, ginger, chilli, cinnamon, sugar & vinegar.
- Blend till you get the desired smoothness.
- Marinate the chicken with the spice mixture for almost 4-5 hours or for overnight.
- Take a kadai or a Chinese wok & heat the ghee on the medium temperature.
- Add the leftover chopped onions & fry it till it turns golden in colour.
- Now pour the chicken pieces & stir well.
- Allow it to cook for almost 40-45 minutes (till you get tender texture).
- You can also pour water if required.
- Transfer from the heat & pour it in a serving bowl.
- You can also garnish with coriander leaves before serving.
