This dessert is famous for its unique taste & is well accepted among Bengali food lovers.
Ingredients:
Cholar dal / chana dal- ½ kg
Ghee- 100 gm
Milk- 1 litter
Kheer (available at sweet shop)- 200 gm
Green cardamom-25 gm
Raisin, cherry- to garnish
Sugar- 200gm
Direction:
Soak the channa dal for 3-4 hours. Then use the blender and make a paste of the soaked channa dal.
Take a kadai or Chinese wok and heat ghee in it.
Pour the dal paste & sugar in the kadai & stir continuously.
Now pour milk & the kheer. Mix the ingredients properly & let the milk concentrate into a thick paste.
Add green cardamom & stir continuously. Remove from heat & spread the paste in a square or round shape dish.
Using a knife make the small diamond like pieces.
Sprinkle sugar & add raisin or cherry on the top of the each diamond.
The mouth watering sweet is now ready to serve.
