Mostly we prepare lentils as a separate preparation & chicken or mutton as another preparation. This time try something a little different. Mix both the ingredients & satisfy your taste buds with a different taste.
Ingredients:
1 ½ cup- Chicken/mutton
½ cup- Red gram
½ cup –Bengal gram
½ cup- Tomato
2 cup- Onion (minced)
1 tbsp- Garlic paste
1 tbsp- Ginger paste
2-3 –Cloves
1″ stick- Cinnamon
2-3- Bay leaf
2 (small size)-Eggplant
2-3 tbsp- Oil
For garnishing- Coriander leaves
2 tbsp- Coriander powder
1 tsp- Chilli powder
A few curry leaves
4- Raw mangoes
Direction:
Take a pressure cooker & mix together the same amounts of both the dal’s, half of the chopped onions, mutton or chicken, bay leaves & garlic-ginger paste. Cook this until the dal’s are done properly.
Now take a kadai or pan & heat oil on medium temperature.
Add the cloves, cinnamon & curry leaves.
Now pour the tomatoes along with minced onions & stir well.
Allow it to cook well & then add chilli powder along with coriander powder.
Now pour the eggplant & let it cook till its tender.
Stir well & add the mango chunks.
Now add the mutton mixture & stir well to mix all the ingredients.
Allow it to simmer for almost 15-20 minutes.
Remove from the heat & transfer to the serving dish.
Decorate with coriander leaves & serve.
