Dhokla is quite a famous south Indian dish. Small yellow pieces serve you the ultimate taste. Try once with some easy to get ingredients & give your family a tasty evening.
Ingredients:
- Lemon-1
- Gram flour- 1 ½ cup
- Semolina/suji- 2 tsp
- Sugar- ½ tsp
- Eno powder- 2 tsp
- Oil- 1-2 tbsp
- Salt- As per taste
- Curry leaves- 8-10
- Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
- Green chilly- 2
- Water- 1 cup
- Coriander leaves for garnishing
Direction:
- Take a small sized bowl & combine together water along with the semolina & flour.
- Grease another container & keep it separately.
- Now take a pressure cooker & pour water into it.
- Place it on the medium temperature.
- Put a jaali/sieve on it.
- Add the eno powder.
- Instantly add the mixture into the greased vessel.
- Now put it over the jaali & then cover the top of the cooker.
- Take it off after a whistle.
- Allow it to cook for almost 15 minutes on high temperature.
- Now remove the dhoklas from the container & let it cook completely.
- Now cut the dhokla into pieces.
- Take a frying pan & heat oil on the medium temperature and add the mustard as well as curry leaves (let the seeds crackle).
- Then add the green chillies.
- Pour the whole mixture over the dhokla pieces.
- Take another container & add sugar along with lemon juice & water.
- Now place all the dhokla pieces into the container.
- Take out the extra water almost after 5 minutes.
- Decorate with chopped coriander leaves & serve with tasty chutney.
