This mouth watering preparation is a well known substitute for mutton keema dishes. With the help of some basic ingredients you make prepare some mouth watering treats with lean ground fish / fish keema .It is very simple to cook.
Ingredients:
Fish- 6 medium size fish pieces (rohu)
Cumin paste- 1-2 tsp
Salt- As per taste
Turmeric powder- 1 ½ -2 tsp
Sugar – A pinch
Red chilli powder- as much heat you can enjoy.
Potato- 2 medium sized (cut into small square pieces)
Onion- 1-2 (medium) chopped finely
Whole green chilli & coriander leaves (optional)- To garnish.
Direction:
Clean the fish pieces properly and place them in boiling water over the medium heat.
Let it boil thoroughly. Remove from heat & let it cool.
Remove bones & smash the fish pieces into a paste.
Take a kadai & heat oil. Add onions & fry them till they turn golden.
Add half of the cumin paste, turmeric powder salt, sugar & red chilli powder.
Stir for a while & pour the fish paste.
Stir well to mix properly & fry it till it turns brown in colour.
Remove from heat & keep it in a separate container.
In the kadai add potato pieces and fry them.
Add the rest of the cumin paste, turmeric powder, salt & sugar.
Stir well & fry it for 10-15 minutes.
Add the fried fish paste & pour enough water to boil.
Let the water evaporate & make thick gravy.
Remove from heat & pour it in a serving plate.
Garnish the top with coriander leaves & whole green chillies.
Fish keema is ready to create magic in a plate.
