Irrespective of age groups, people love to have pickle. Usually mango is one of the most popular ingredients for pickle, but this time we choose okra/lady finger for preparing a pickle.
Ingredients:
- Lemon juice- 1 cup
- Mustard powder- 2 tsp
- Red chilli powder- 2 tsp
- Salt- As per taste (for lemon juice)
- Fenugreek seeds- 2 tsp
- Lady fingure- 25
- Curry leaves- 8-9
- Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
- Salt (for masala)- According to taste
- Asafoetida- ΒΌ tsp
- Cumin seeds- 2tsp
Direction:
- Wash the okra/lady fingers well & chop the head as well as the tail.
- Slit the okras on one side only.
- Take a medium sized bowl & pour the ground spices along with a little bit of lemon juice & salt.
- Mix well & stuff the okra.
- Now take a frying pan & heat oil over the medium temperature.
- Add curry leaves & allow it to fry.
- Take it off from the oven & add the okras along with the salt & remaining lemon juice.
- Let it boil well till it is cooked well.
- Remove from the oven & let it cool down completely.
- Place it into an airtight glass jar & serve after 3 days.
