Lemon pickle is quite appreciated among all the other pickles. This mouth watering preparation is always a hit with every age group. So try this preparation with some common ingredients.
Ingredients:
- Vinegar- 1 cup
- Salt- 250 gm
- Turmeric- 2 tsp
- Lemon- 1 kg
- Mustard oil- 1 ½ cup
- Fenugreek- 4 tsp
- Asafoetida- 2 tsp
- Red chilli pepper- 3 tsp
- Green chilli- 125 gm (silted)
- Ginger- 125 gm (peeled & diced)
Direction:
- Firstly chop 1 kg lemon into eight portions.
- Wash well & transfer into a medium sized bowl.
- Add salt with lemon & place it into a glass made jar.
- Place it in the sun for almost 14-15 days.
- Remember to regularly shake it.
- Take a frying pan & heat oil over the medium temperature (until smokes arise).
- Take it off from the oven & allow it to cool down a little bit.
- Fry the mustard seeds along with asafoetida & fenugreek into it.
- Remember to pour ginger along with vinegar.
- Add chilli powder; (slit) green chillies & lemon.
- For almost 15-16 days place it in the sun.
