If we have the idea we can easily prepare various mouth watering vegetarian dishes at home. Corn is believed to be a healthy food. So try the following corn dish with the easy to get ingredients.
Ingredients:
- Oil- 2 tbsp
- Corns- 1 kg (fresh)
- Red chilli powder- As much heat you can enjoy
- Salt- As per taste
- Coriander powder= 1 tsp
- Garam masala- 1/2tsp
- Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
- Green chillies- 5-6
- Tomatoes- 3 (medium sized)
- Cumin seeds- ½ tsp
- Onions- 3 (medium sized)
- Coriander leaves – For decoration (optional)
Direction:
- Firstly you need to boil the whole corn so that you can remove the niblets.
- Now use your blender to grind it well.
- Take off the onion skin & dice it properly.
- Wash the tomatoes under running water & now chop it.
- Clean the green chillies & chop them well.
- Take a frying pan or kadai & heat over medium temperature.
- Add the cumin seeds & allow it to crackle.
- Now pour the chopped onions & let it fry till it turns light brown in colour.
- Boil the whole corn, take off the niblets and grind it coarsely in a blender.
- Take off and finely cut the onions.
- Wash and cut the tomatoes.
- Wash and cut the green chillies.
- Heat up oil in a kadhai, mix in cumin seeds and stir fry till they crackle.
- Mix in the onions and stir fry till light brown in color.
- Mix in cut green chillies and stir fry for 1/2 minute.
- Mix in the red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and salt.
- Stir well & add the pieces of green chilli.
- Now add the coriander powder along with turmeric powder, salt, garam masala & red chilli powder.
- Stir well for a few minutes & then add the diced tomatoes.
- Let the tomatoes cook well & pour the boiled as well as grinded corn with a little bit of water.
- For almost 5-10 minutes allow it to stir fry.
- Transfer in the serving bowl.
- Before serving remember to garnish with coriander leaves.
