In weekends or holidays we prefer to get something special for breakfast, which will provide us the ultimate taste. The following methi preparation is the perfect solution to such a requirement.
Ingredients:
- Methi/fenugreek leaves- ½ bunches
- Oil- According to requirement
- Coriander powder- 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
- Wheat flour- 1 cup
- Salt- As per taste
- Cumin powder- 1 tsp
- Ginger-garlic paste- 1 ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
- Ajwan- 1 tsp
- Hing/Asafoetida-A pinch of it
- Green chillies- 2 (diced)
Direction:
- Take a flat shaped vessel & pour wheat flour into it.
- Add all the other ingredients (methi leaves too) into the bowl.
- Pour oil (1 tsp) & prepare a dough (let it stay for almost 15 minutes).
- Out of the dough now make some small dumplings.
- Use the rolling pin to get the round shape.
- Roast every thepla over the heated frying pan (remember to roast both sides).
- Now add a little bit of oil & roast again both the sides well.
- For every methi thepla do the same roast process.
- With chutney or butter or curd serve this methi thepla hot.
