Missi roti is quite popular among Indians. Mostly it is prepared for the breakfast. With some tasty side dish or achar this preparation will give you some different energy to begin a new day.
Ingredients:
- Gram flour/Besan- 2 cup
- Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
- Oil- 2-3 tbsp
- Whole wheat flour/atta- 2 cup
- Red chilli powder- As much heat you can enjoy
- Fenugreek leaves (dry) – 2 tbsp
- Salt- As per taste
- Turmeric powder- A pinch
- Water
Direction:
- Take a large sized bowl & mix together gram flour along with the chilli powder, whole wheat flour, turmeric powder & salt.
- Now turn the fenugreek leaves powdery & add into the flour mixture.
- Pour oil along with the water to prepare a dough (soft) & place it separately for almost 30 minutes covered with a moist cloth.
- Rub down the dough again & make the dumplings out of that dough.
- Use the rolling pin to make the chapati (little bit thicker than usual).
- Place it over the preheated tawa/girdle & cook it with oil or without oil.
