If you have purchased your new swanky barbecue oven & planning to give a great start then attempt this preparation. It will be a great inauguration for your new barbecue oven.
Ingredients:
Washed & skinned chicken- 800 gm (1 medium size)
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
Cumin powder- 1 tsp
Yogurt (beaten)- 1 cup
Lemon juice- 2 tbsp
Salt According to taste
Garlic paste- 1 tbsp
Ginger paste- 1 tbsp
Butter- 2-2 ½ tbsp
To garnish- chopped coriander leaves, lemon wedges & onion rings (optional).
Direction:
With the help of your fork/knife make some cuts / wedges on the chicken.
Take a medium size bowl & pour lemon juice, salt & red chilli powder.
Rub the mixture all over the chicken & keep separate for almost an hour.
In another bowl beat the yogurt properly & add the all other ingredients.
Stir properly to mix well.
Apply the mixture all over the chicken & place in the refrigerator for overnight (or at least 4 hours).
Now take a long pin (skewer) for holding the pieces of chicken in position while it is being roasted & place the chicken.
In a hot clay oven (or open hot grill) barbecue the chicken for almost 15 minutes, till the chicken is tender.
Brush butter over chicken & again roast it for 5-7 minutes.
Remove from oven & place the pieces in the serving plate.
Before serving garnish the plate with coriander leaves, lemon wedges & onion rings.
