Sometimes we run out of ideas when it comes to preparing an appetizer or snacks. This recipe will give you some outstanding result with some very easy effort & ingredients.
Ingredients:
- Egg- 1 (beaten)
- Onion- 1
- Ground cumin- ½ tsp
- Besan/gram flour/chick pea flour/all purpose flour- 1 ½ cup
- Fresh cilantro- 2 tbsp (minced)
- Cayenne- A pinch of
- Vegetable oil- 3-4 tbsp (for deep fry)
Direction:
- Firstly cut the onion into half & then chop it for about ¼ inch thick.
- Wash properly under running water & keep it aside.
- Take a medium sized bowl & mix together flour along with the eggs.
- Pour water as much required to make a smooth-thick batter.
- Add all other ingredients & beat well.
- Place separately for almost 15-20 minutes.
- Now pour the sliced onion into the mixture. Make sure that the onion pieces are coated well.
- Allow it to marinate for almost 5-10 minutes.
- Heat oil in a kadai (on the medium temperature) & fry the well coated onion pieces.
- Turn it after a few minutes to get the both sides fried.
- Allow it to fry until it turns brown in colour as well as crispy.
- Remove it from the kadai & place it on the pepper towel to absorb the extra oil.
- Place it in the serving dish & serve with some hot sauce or chutney.
