Chutney is always a mouth watering preparation. In Indian households it’s a must have preparation. Irrespective of age, people are just crazy about it. In present days you can easily get this readymade chutney in your grocery store, but when you prepare it at your home then it has its own charm.
Ingredients:
- Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
- Salt- According to taste
- Onion- 1 cup (skin removed)
- Curry leaves
- Tamarind- A little bit
- Garlic- 5-6 flakes
- Red chillies- As much heat you can enjoy
- Bengal gram (channa dal)- 2 tbsp
Direction:
- Take a frying pan & heat oil over medium temperature.
- Add chillies along with onion, lentils & garlic.
- Stir well & allow it to fry till it turns golden brown in colour.
- Now grind the whole roasted ingredients along with salt & tamarind.
- Make it into a smooth paste & transfer the liquid into the serving bowl.
- Now heat oil again & pour the mustard seeds along with curry leaves.
- Let the mustard seeds splatter & take it off from the oven.
- Pour this over the prepared liquid & serve with puri or paratha or naan etc.
