Dal in itself is full of several nutritional valuables & when you cook it with some spices then the end result always comes with a mood enhancing essence.
Ingredients:
- Masoor dal/ split red lentil- 1 cup
- Green chilli- 2 (minced)
- Turmeric powder- A pinch of
- Cumin seeds- ½ tsp
- Salt- As per taste
- Ghee/ clarified butter- 2-3 tbsp
- Garlic- 2 flakes (minced)
- Coriander leaves- 2-3 tbsp (diced)
Direction:
- Boil the dal well in the pressure cooker with enough water along with the turmeric powder.
- Allow it to cook till its tender & take it off from the heat.
- With help of the spoon crush the dal & place it separately.
- Now heat the ghee on medium temperature & add the green chillies along with the garlic, salt & cumin seeds.
- Let it fry for almost 1- ½ minute & then add the crushed dal.
- Stir well to mix all the ingredients properly.
- Turn the heat in low & pour a little bit of water if required.
- Cool until you get the desired thickness & then remove from the heat.
- Pour it in the serving bowl & decorate with the chopped coriander leaves.
