RAS-MALAI
A heart-winning famous recipe for sweet-toothed people. It is a very classic and easy to cook dessert that completes the feast menu.
Ingredients
- 1 cup dry milk
- 1 tbs oil
- 1 Egg
- ½ tsp Baking powder
- 1 ½ kg fresh milk
- 5 tbs sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 3-4 Green cardamoms
- Pistachio flakes for garnish
- Almond flakes for garnish
Method
- Boil fresh milk on low blaze till it reduces to 1 kg from 1 ½ kg.
- In a mixing bowl add dry milk, oil, baking powder, and an egg. Knead it well till the dough softens.
- Quickly make the tiny balls, slightly press to give oval shape.
- Turn the flame on high and put the balls in it. After some seconds lower the blaze and let the balls gets double in size.
- Turn off the flame and let it cool down. When it cools down put it in the fridge.
- Garnish it with pistachio and almond flakes.
- Serve chilled.
Note: If the dough gets harden add 2-3 tsp of milk and then make balls out of it.
