For okra cultivation warm climate is very conducive. Cutting the okra is a little bit messy experience for you (because of the liquid), so you need to fry it properly. Fried okra is also very delicious.
Ingredients:
Okra-1 lb
Tomatoes- 2 small (finely chopped)
Onion- 2 (finely chopped)
Turmeric powder- ½ tbsp
Salt- As per taste
Red chilli powder- According to your taste
Oil- 4-5 tbsp
Coriander leaves- To garnish (optional)
Direction:
Wash the okra properly under running water.
Remove the head & cut into small pieces.
Take a kadai / Chinese Wok & heat oil in it. Add okra pieces & fry them till they turn brown in colour.
Take it off from the kadai & place it in a separate container.
In the same kadai (in the remaining oil) add chopped onions & turmeric powder.
Stir well to mix properly. Fry it till the onion turn golden in colour.
Now add salt, tomato & red chilli powder. Stir well.
Add the fried okra gently & pour ½ cup of water.
Cover the top & allow it to cook for 15- 20 minutes.
Remove from heat & pour in the serving bowl.
Garnish the top with coriander leaves & the preparation is ready.
