Preparing an appetizer is always a little tough especially when you want to be creative with it. The following spinach roll preparation will help you to be a little creative with some mouth-watering taste.
Ingredients:
- Onion- 1 (minced)
- Salt- As per taste
- Spinach leaves- 25-30
- Oil- For frying
- Ghee/clarified butter- 1 tbsp
- Potatoes- 4 (boiled as well as crushed)
- Green chillies- 2-3 (minced)
- Amchur powder- 1 ½ tsp
- For serving- tomato ketchup
- Ingredients for batter:
- Salt- ½ tsp.
- Gram flour- ½ tea cup
- Water- 1 tea cup
- Regular flour or rice flour- ½ tea cup
- Chilli powder- ½ tsp
Direction:
- Take a frying pan & place it over medium temperature.
- Add ghee & let it melt.
- Pour the chopped onion & sauté them for almost 1- 1 ½ minutes.
- Now add the minced green chillies & stir it well.
- Stir in amchur powder along with mashed potatoes & salt.
- Mix well & take it off from the oven.
- Let it cool down well & make shapes of rolls out of the mixture.
- Take a spinach leaf & roll the small potato mixture into it.
- Wrap the spinach leaf well around the potato roll.
- For the remaining filling as well as for spinach leaves reiterate the same process.
- Now prepare the batter with its necessary ingredients.
- Plunge the roll into the batter & then deep fry it in a separate kadai/Chinese wok.
