Pickle is always a great choice for food lovers. Irrespective of age people love to taste pickles. You can easily serve it with roti or puri. So try to following preparation & get the ready to serve dish in your kitchen.
Ingredients:
- Mustard powder- 8 tsp
- Ground spices- 3 tsp
- Red chilli powder- As much heat you can enjoy.
- Onion- 2
- Tamarind- 60 gm
- Jaggery- 180 gm
- Salt- As per taste
- Tinda- 1 ¼ kg (skin removed & chop into large portions)
- Vinegar- 1 cup
- Black pepper- 2 tsp
- Ground ginger- 2 tsp
- Mustard oil- 1 ½ cup
Direction:
- Firstly you need to soak the tamarind in vinegar.
- Use your grinder to grind onion along with garlic.
- Now take a frying pan & heat oil over medium temperature.
- Add the onion-garlic paste & allow it o fry till it turns brown in colour.
- Now add the tinda pieces along with ginger & red chilli pepper & fry it well.
- Pour the mustard along with jaggery (crushed), pepper, spices, salt & tamarind with vinegar.
- Stir well for a few minutes.
- Take it off from the oven & allow it to cool down completely.
- Transfer it into a glass jar & place it in the sun for almost 3 days.
- Remember to shake it regularly.
- If it’s summer then serve it after 5 days & a single week for winter.
