Tomatoes always enhance the taste of your food, so it has its own charming taste. It’s also quite popular for its nutritional benefits. Try the following preparation & offer your family something tasty as well as nutritional.
Ingredients:
- Oil- 1 tbsp
- Ginger- 1 tbsp (diced)
- Tomatoes- 600 gm
- Bay leaf- 2-3
- Garlic- 1 tbsp (minced)
- Salt- As per taste
- Green chillies- 2
- Garam masala (whole) -1 tbsp
- Coriander leaf- 1 tbsp (chopped)
- Sugar- 1 tbsp (optional)
- Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
Direction:
- Clean the tomatoes under running water & then chop them into quarters.
- Now cook the tomatoes along with green chillies, ginger-garlic (diced), bay leaf, garam masala (whole) & pour five cups of water.
- Allow it to boil thoroughly.
- Till the tomatoes are crushed totally let it simmer over low temperature (for almost 20 minutes).
- Use the soap strainer to strain the whole mixture.
- Take a frying pan & heat oil over medium temperature.
- Pour the cumin seeds & allow them to crackle.
- Now pour the strained liquid & scatter salt for seasoning.
- Let it boil.
- You can add sugar if required.
- Before serving the hot shorba, garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
