Tomato ketchup is one of the major ingredients for having spicy-tasty fried foods. It enhances the taste of every food product. Usually we prefer to purchase it from the market, but with some normal ingredients we can easily prepare it at home.
Ingredients:
- Sugar- 1 ½ cup
- Tomatoes- 1 ½ kg
- Clove- 2
- Chilli powder- As much heat you can enjoy
- Sodium benzoate- 2 tsp
- Salt- As per taste
- Cinnamon- ¼ ” piece
- Vinegar- 1 cup
- Glacial acetic acid- ½ tsp
- Ginger- 2 tsp (chopped)
- Garlic clove- 4
- Cardamom- 1
Direction:
- Firstly dice the ginger along with the garlic & tomatoes.
- Pour into a saucepan & then place the saucepan over low temperature.
- Allow it to cook till it thickens as well as gets the tender texture.
- Strain it & then pour the sugar along with the chilli powder & vinegar.
- Stir well & let it cook for a few minutes.
- Take ¼ cup boiling water & add the sodium benzoate along with acetic acid.
- Add the mixture & mix well.
- Take a clean bottle & pour the complete mixture into the bottle.
- Remember to place the cork firmly.
- Begin to use almost after a week.
